Gymnastics Classes
Preschool Program
Wigglers • Zoomers • Flyers
(walking age to 4 years)
Our Preschool Program features co-ed classes for children from walking age to 4 years old. Each class is designed around age-appropriate gymnastics activities, equipment, and instruction to support safe, fun, and effective learning.

Wigglers (Walking Age–Age 3)
Wigglers is a caregiver-assisted class for children from walking age through age 3 that develops coordination, balance, strength, and confidence through guided circuits, exploration, and play. While many 3-year-olds transition to Zoomers, children may remain in Wigglers until they are ready to participate independently of their caregiver.

Zoomers (Age 3)
Zoomers is an independent class for 3-year-olds that introduces foundational gymnastics skills, classroom basics, and the joy of learning through structured circuits and age-appropriate activities.

Flyers (Age 4)
Flyers is a class for 4-year-olds that develops foundational gymnastics and classroom skills through structured stations and purposeful repetition. Children build the strength, flexibility, coordination, and body control needed for skills such as rolls, handstands, and cartwheels.
Progressive Program
Girls • Boys • ACE
(5 years and up)
Our Progressive Program features dedicated Boys Classes and Girls Classes for children ages 5 and up. Through intentional lesson planning, athletes build gymnastics skills step-by-step while training on all event apparatus. Along the way, athletes develop physically, mentally, and emotionally in a supportive learning environment.

Girls Levels 1-4
Our Girls Progressive Classes provide a structured pathway for students to build gymnastics skills on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise, and a variety of other equipment.
Athletes advance through Levels 1–4 by demonstrating proficiency in Benchmark Skills, allowing each gymnast to progress safely and confidently at their own pace.

Boys Levels 1-4
Our Boys Progressive Classes help students learn skills on all six men's events and a variety of other equipment through progressive instruction.
Athletes advance through Levels 1–4 by demonstrating proficiency in Benchmark Skills, allowing each gymnast to progress safely and confidently at their own pace.

ACE (Adapted Class for Everyone)
Our co-ed ACE Classes provide an opportunity for athletes of all abilities to build gymnastics skills, confidence, and independence. With personalized instruction, a lower student-to-coach ratio, and optional caregiver participation, athletes develop coordination, strength, and body awareness in a welcoming environment.
Team Program
A competitive team program is not currently available at Forward Gymnastics, but it is something we hope to explore as we grow. If your child is interested in competitive opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.
Family Guide
Continuous Enrollment, Billing, and Annual Registration Fee
Forward Gymnastics operates on a 4-week class cycle, loosely associated with each calendar month. Tuition is automatically billed on the 20th of each month for the upcoming cycle.
To ensure your child’s spot remains reserved, enrollment continues automatically from one cycle to the next in the same class, day, and time. There is no need to re-register each month. If you wish to make changes, please notify us before the 20th.Â
A $30 annual registration fee is charged per family with the first tuition payment and is renewed each September thereafter.
Discounts
Forward Gymnastics offers a 10% sibling discount for each additional child enrolled after the first child.
As a small token of appreciation, military members and veterans are eligible for a 10% monthly tuition discount.
What Kids Learn
There are countless skills that can be taught in gymnastics. In addition to event-specific skills, students develop strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, body awareness, and movement patterns that support long-term athletic development. While Progress Checks focus on Benchmark Skills, children are continuously learning and practicing many other skills throughout their gymnastics journey. Check out our Curriculum Overview (link to be added) to see the skills and concepts taught throughout the program.
Finding the Right Class
Children from walking age through age 4 should enroll in our Preschool Program, where classes are grouped by age and designed around each stage of development. Children ages 5 and up should enroll in our Progressive Program, where advancement is based on demonstrating proficiency in Benchmark Skills rather than age alone.
If you’re unsure which class is the best fit, review our Benchmark Skills Chart (link to be added) or contact the front desk—we’ll be happy to help.
Progressing Through the Programs
Our Progressive Program is built around Benchmark Skills that guide advancement from one level to the next. Every other month, coaches complete a Progress Check to evaluate each gymnast’s growth and identify which skills have been mastered and which are still being developed. This schedule allows coaches to spend more time teaching and less time on assessments while still providing regular feedback.
Children advance at different rates based on attendance, effort, maturity, and skill development. As a result, advancement timelines vary from child to child.
Makeup Classes
We understand that occasional absences happen. Each student is eligible for one makeup class or one complimentary Open Gym pass per month. Makeup classes must be scheduled within one month of the absence, and the student must be actively enrolled at the time of the makeup. Please contact the front desk to schedule a makeup class.
Account Credits
If you choose to withdraw your child from a class, any unused tuition will be applied to your account as a prorated credit based on the effective withdrawal date. Credits may expire 12 months from the date they are issued and may be used toward future tuition, Open Gyms, or other eligible programs.
Weather Closures
Safety is our top priority. If classes are canceled due to weather or other facility-related reasons, families will be notified by email and provided with available makeup options.
Attire
Children should wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows for safe movement and is not loose-fitting. Leotards and singlets are welcome but not required. Socks are optional. For safety, long hair should be tied back and jewelry should be removed before class.
Family Viewing Area
Families of preschool students are encouraged to remain at the gym during class, while families of progressive students are welcome to drop off and return at the end of class. Limited seating is available for those who wish to watch.
